Change the standard messages

The system sends a handful of standard messages on its own — the tracking notification when a job is booked, the proof-of-delivery confirmation, the password reset, and so on. Their wording is edited here, one template per message.

Be sure the message you want is one of the standard ones. This screen holds the defaults the platform sends by itself. A message tied to a job status, or a layout of your own, lives in a different Notification Center tile — see Create a custom notification.

  1. Go to Admin ManagerSystemNotification CenterGlobal Notification Templates.
  2. Pick the template to change. The types are: Job Tracking Notification, POD, Agent Quote, Late Pickup, Late Delivery, Email Validation, Forgot Password, and Job Item Not Ready.
  3. Edit the fields:
    • Email Subject and Email Message — the email version.
    • SMS Message — the text-message version of the same notification.
    • Reply-To Email and Reply-To Name — where a reply goes.
    • Active — whether this notification is sent at all.
  4. Press SAVE.

Email and SMS are two renderings of the same notification — a recipient gets the one that suits the contact details on the job, so keep both versions saying the same thing. Each template’s Active switch turns that one message on or off without touching the others.

A standard message stopped going out. Check the template’s Active switch before anything else.

Your edit shows in email but not in texts. The SMS Message is a separate field — edit both.

Against
  • ui: re-walked 2026-09-24 on the baseline (DFRNT shared staging — DFRNT organisation confirmed in the org switcher; internal-staff session; read-only) — System > Notification Center > Global Notification Templates; the eight template types and the per-template fields match; the screen title on this build reads "Notificaiton Template Setting" (sic) rather than "Default Notification Setting", and the Active toggle reads "Inactive - notifications disabled" when off; route #/smpp/1
  • ui: Admin Manager > System > Notification Center > Global Notification Templates, walked 2026-09-01 — the screen inside is titled 'Default Notification Setting'
  • ui: eight template types across the top — Job Tracking Notification, POD, Agent Quote, Late Pickup, Late Delivery, Email Validation, Forgot Password, Job Item Not Ready
  • ui: per-template fields — Email Subject, Email Message (rich-text editor), SMS Message, Reply-To Email, Reply-To Name, and an Active toggle reading 'Active - notifications enabled'
Likely to change
high — Notification work recurs in development, and the screen is reached through the older menus, which are being phased out — the path on this page is expected to move.

Open questions
  • Whether the message bodies carry placeholders (such as a tracking link or job number token) that must not be edited — the retiring help docs warn against altering text in square brackets, but no body text was read closely enough to confirm the convention. Check a populated template before advising edits to it.
  • Whether SMS length is limited on this screen, and what happens to an over-long SMS.
  • What turning a template's Active switch off does to the events that would have sent it.
